Tea Time Talk

Words & Geeks Book Club June Edition

I’m sorry that I haven’t posted this as soon as I should have , I had a bunny bereavement and so took a little time out, however I’m suer excited to let you all know I’m enjoying the super duper amazing Emma from Wandering Words and Emily at The Geek Undergraduates book club for this month. So without further ado this June’s book is…

The Girl of Ink and Stars By Kira Millwood Hargravegirl of ink

Forbidden to leave her island, Isabella Riosse dreams of the faraway lands her father once mapped.

When her closest friend disappears into the island’s Forgotten Territories, she volunteers to guide the search. As a cartographer’s daughter, she’s equipped with elaborate ink maps and knowledge of the stars, and is eager to navigate the island’s forgotten heart.

But the world beyond the walls is a monster-filled wasteland – and beneath the dry rivers and smoking mountains, a legendary fire demon is stirring from its sleep. Soon, following her map, her heart and an ancient myth, Isabella discovers the true end of her journey: to save the island itself.

I have been way too excited to start this book and honestly I couldn’t wait so  I have  already begun to read, and so far its been incredible, the pictures on the pages and the maps on each side of the cover are pretty enough to be put up in picture frames, I cant stop drooling over them. This is a new book just hot off the press so if you can snag a copy before they disappear, then come and join us  and let us know what you think.
